1. The "Promoter" is SGS Engineering (UK) Ltd. (company no. 05484978) whose registered office is at 291 Upper Richmond Road, London SE15 6NP
2. The promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 16 years or over except employees of the SGS Engineering and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the prize draw.
3. To enter, you must make at least 1 purchase in the SGS Trade Counter or on the website at www.sgs-engineering.com and sign up to SGS Engineering within the promotion dates.
4. By entering this prize draw, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
5. Closing date for entry will be Friday 31st May 2024 at 23:59pm. After this date no further entries to the prize draw will be permitted.
6. Winners will be drawn by 14th June 2024.
7. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
8. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the prize draw and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation.
9. The promoter also reserves the right to cancel the prize draw if circumstances arise outside of its control.
10. Any changes to the prize draw will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
11. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.
14. The prizes are not transferable.
15. The winner will be chosen at random from all entries received and verified by Promoter.
16. In the instance that the promoter does not hold winning customers’ address details, winners will be contacted via email to obtain this information. If winners do not provide this information within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
18. The promoter will notify the winner when they can collect their prize.
19. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the prize draw will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
20. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England
21. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry.
22. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current data protection legislation and will be shared to a third party for fulfilment purposes only.

These terms and conditions apply to the SGS Engineering Local Hero Awards ("Competition") run by SGS Engineering (UK) Limited, West Side Park, Belmore Way, Derby, DE21 7AZ ("the Company").

By entering the Competition, you will be deemed to have read and accepted these terms and agree to be bound by them.

1. Eligibility

1.1 The Competition is only open to residents in the United Kingdom who are over the age of 18.

1.2 You will not be permitted to participate in the Competition if you are an employee of the Company, their families or anyone else who is related or associated with the Competition or its operators.

2. How to enter

2.1 Nominations should be submitted via the nomination form and all required fields must be completed.

2.2 By making a nomination, you confirm that you have obtained the prior consent of the nominee to share their information with the Company.

2.3 The Competition opens at 10.00 am on Tuesday 2nd April 2024 and you must submit your nomination by noon on Friday 10th May 2024.

2.4   Your nomination must not include any of the following:

2.4.1 pornography, adult-oriented content or any other sexually-explicit material;

2.4.2 explicit language or content, images of violence, or promotion of illegal activities;

2.4.3 content which brings or is likely to bring the Company or its website into disrepute;

2.4.4 material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, age or any other basis;

2.4.5 content owned by any party other than the entrant or the Company;

2.4.6 material that is unlawful, or which may constitute a criminal offence; or  

2.4.7 content which has been manipulated in a way beyond the abilities of the smartphone filter.

2.5 Any nomination which does not comply with the above restrictions, in the sole discretion of the Company, will be disqualified from the Competition.

2.6 The Company will not accept: (i) responsibility for nominations that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or (ii) proof of transmission as proof of receipt of nomination to the Competition.

3. Competition Prize

3.1 The main national winner prize consists of £1,000 in cash, provided by the Company. There are also up to five regional winner prizes, each consisting of £250 in cash, provided by the Company.

3.2 The Company reserves the right to substitute the prizes (or any portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value at its sole and absolute discretion. The winners are fully responsible for any and all applicable taxes in respect of the prize.

3.3 All costs and expenses associated with receipt of the prize and any use not specified in these terms and conditions as being provided are the sole responsibility of the winners.

4. Winners

4.1 From all valid nominations, a shortlist of finalists will be determined by the Company and will be announced by Tuesday 14th May 2024, via the Company website, Company social media pages and a press release to local and trade media. 

4.2 The finalists will be notified via email by the Company to confirm they have been shortlisted in the Competition. The decision of the Company is final, and no correspondence will be entered into after the decision.

4.3 If you, or the nominee, object to any or all of your details being published or made available, please notify the Company promptly. In such circumstances, the Company must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

4.4 The winners of the main national prize and the five regional prizes will be determined by a public poll available on the Company website. The winners will subsequently be notified via email to confirm they have won and then be publicly announced via the Company website, Company social media pages and a press release to local and trade media.

5. Ownership of nominations 

5.1 All nominations and any accompanying material submitted to the Company will become the property of the Company on receipt and will not be returned.

5.2 You agree to grant the Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the nomination and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.

6. General

6.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Company may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Competition.

6.2 The Company will only process your personal information and personal information derived from the nomination as set out in these terms and conditions and in its Privacy Policy.

6.3 The Company reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

6.4 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

DEWALT WIN A TRUCK PRIZE DRAW 2024
TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Eligibility & Restrictions to Enter
1. This DEWALT Win A Truck prize draw promotion (“Promotion”) is only open to individuals aged 18 years or
over who are ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland),
excluding employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, its subsidiaries, other group companies,
its agents, or anyone else professionally connected with this Promotion (“Participants”).
2. The Promotion is subject to these terms and conditions, a copy of which can be found at

3. To qualify for entry to the Promotion, Participants must purchase any DCD100 kit (listed as qualifying
products in paragraph 8 below) in one transaction on one receipt (“Qualifying Product”) between
04.02.2024 and 12.06.24(“Purchase Period”) inclusive, a qualifying purchase (“Qualifying Purchase”). No
purchase necessary in Northern Ireland (“NI”).
4. Entry to the Promotion opens at 09:00:00 on 04.03.2024. All entries must be submitted by 23:59:59 on
26.06.2024 (“Closing Date”). Entries for purchases made after 12.06.2024 will be deemed invalid. Entries
made after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
5. All entries must include a copy of your purchase receipt for the Qualifying Purchase. Retain your proof of
purchase to enter and to claim your prize if you are a winner.
6. Only one entry per purchase is permitted. Only one entry per person is permitted.
7. Participants must submit all entries to the Promotion in a personal capacity on their own behalf. Entries
submitted via third parties or in bulk, or are automatically generated by computer, are prohibited and the
Promoter reserves the right to refuse awarding a Prize (defined below) if the Promoter reasonably suspects
that an entry was submitted by such means and/or is illegible, forged or incomplete.
8. The ONLY qualifying products are:
DCD100M1T-GB, DCD100M2T-GB and DCD100P2T-GB. All other variants (including bare units) are excluded.
Entries & How to Enter
9. Go to www.dewalt.eu/win-a-truck to enter. By entering the Promotion, you confirm that you are eligible to
do so and eligible to claim a Prize if you are a Winner (or Replacement Winner if applicable). The Promoter
may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Promotion.
10. To submit an entry, Participants must: a) provide their details; b) except for Participants resident in NI,
upload proof of purchase of the Qualifying Purchase; and, c) read and accept these terms and conditions.
11. Participants who need help with their entry, are unable to upload their proof of purchase and/or who are
unable to enter online should email Promoter at [email protected] on or before 5.00pm on the Closing
Date. The Promoter is not liable for late entries howsoever caused.
12. Once you have submitted your entry in accordance with these terms and conditions, a message will appear
on screen informing you that your entry has been successfully submitted.
13. Only those entries which comply with the Eligibility & Restrictions to Enter set out above, will be considered
valid (“Valid Entries”).
14. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entries to protect itself against fraudulent,
invalid or repetitive entries including, without limitation, to require the Participant to prove that it did not
return the Qualifying Purchase within the period of 30 days from the date of delivery. During this verification
process Participants may be contacted to provide evidence that the Participant has not return the Qualifying
Purchase within 30 days of purchase for a refund. If the Participant has returned the Qualifying Purchase
within 30 days of purchase under such circumstances, the Participant may forfeit their entry and/or prize if
they are a winner.
15. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite,
server, network, computer hardware or software failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay a
Participant’s entry to the Promotion and does not accept proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry

to the Promotion. Incomplete entries will not be processed. Where postal entries are permitted, lost,
mislaid, damaged, delayed or incomplete postal entries are not the responsibility of the Promoter and
Promoter does not accept proof of posting as proof of receipt of entry to the Promotion.
Prize Draw, Winner Selection & Notification
16. Valid Entries will be entered into the prize draw which will take place on 27.06.2024 (“Draw”).
17. 101 Winners will be randomly selected from the Valid Entries (each a “Winner”, together the “Winners”)
and the Winner will be awarded a Prize (defined below). A maximum of one Prize per Participant is
permitted.
18. Each Winner will be verified against these terms and conditions including alongside proof of purchase
provided with their entry.
19. Up to 20 reserve Winners will be randomly selected in addition to the 101 Winners, at the time of the Draw
(“Reserve Winners”). If any one of the Winners is unable to claim their Prize in accordance with the process
set out in these terms and conditions or the Prize is forfeit or for any other reason, the Promoter will award
the Prize to the next drawn Reserve Winner.
20. The Winners (and a Reserve Winner if applicable), will be notified within 24 hours of the award of the Prize.
Emails will only be sent to Winners (and Reserve Winners if applicable).
21. A total of up to two (2) emails will be sent to the Winners (and Reserve Winners if applicable) notifying them
that they have won a Prize and asking them to reply, confirming their address, to claim their Prize
(“Email(s)”). The first Email will be sent within 24 hours of the award of the Prize and, if the Promoter does
not receive a reply, a further Email will be sent within two (2) days of the first Email. Winners (and Reserve
Winners if applicable) have seven (7) days from the date of the first Email, to claim their Prize. If after this
time, no response has been received by the Promoter, your claim will be invalid and the Promoter will award
the Prize to the next Reserve Winner in accordance with these terms and conditions. The Prize may not be
claimed by a third party on your behalf.
22. It is the responsibility of the Participant to check junk/spam for Emails and to contact the Promoter to claim
their Prize within 3 days of the first Email being sent. The Promoter is not responsible for Participants who
fail to claim their Prize or who are late claiming their Prize, whether or not such failure or delay is because:
they did not receive either or both Emails; because they failed to read and/or respond to the Emails; or,
because they missed/did not read the Emails because they were in their junk folder.
23. In the event a Prize is claimed, but the Winner (or a Reserve Winner if applicable) does not confirm their
postal address when claiming their Prize, their Prize may be relinquished. Promoter will email the Winner
(or a Reserve Winner if applicable) requesting confirmation and details of their correct postal address
(“Prompt”) but, if Winner (or a Reserve Winner if applicable) does not provided such details within 3 days of
the Prompt and the Prize cannot be sent, the Prize shall be relinquished and Promoter reserves the right to
award the relinquished Prize to the next Reserve Winner in accordance with these terms and conditions. It
is the responsibility of the Participant to check junk/spam for a Prompt. The Promoter is not responsible for
Participants who are delayed or fail to respond to a Prompt for whatever reason.
The Prizes
24. There is one (1) 2024 Ford Ranger Pick Up 2.0 EcoBlue 205 Double Cab Wildtrak Auto 4X4 with DEWALT
limited edition livery (‘’Main Prize’’). The total on the road price of the vehicle is Fourty-Five Thousand One
Hundred and Thirty-Five Pounds (£45,135). The vehicle will be delivered with delivery mileage only, up to a
maximum of 400 miles. The Winner must personally retrieve the vehicle from the agreed delivery location
and present adequate personal identification, valid UK Driving License and evidence of legally required
insurance or an alternative winner shall be selected and the original Winner’s rights to the vehicle shall be
automatically forfeited. The Winner shall bear all risk of loss or damage to the vehicle once he/she takes
title of the vehicle at the delivery location.

26. The prizes will be drawn and allocated to winners in the following order:

27. Each Prize will be delivered to the address confirmed by the Winner (or a Reserve Winner if applicable) in
accordance with these terms and conditions. Proof of age will be required to take delivery of all prizes, and
proof of full and valid UK driving license is required for the Main Prize.
28. Please allow 7 days from the date Participant emails Promoter to confirm their address, for delivery of the
Prize.
29. Prizes are subject to availability. No alternatives or cash alternatives for the Prize are available. Prizes are not
negotiable or transferable.
30. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a prize of equivalent or greater value should the
original prize offered become unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control.
31. Prizes are not for re-sale. If a Winner (or Reserve Winner if applicable) does not wish to retain their Prize, the
Participant must contact the Promoter to arrange return. No compensation will be given in such
circumstances.

32. Retailers participating in this promotion may or may not display promotional point of sale.
General
33. Participants may contact Promoter about Winner (or Reserve Winner if applicable) details by email
[email protected] within three months of the Closing Date.

34. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise where fraud,
abuse, or reasonable belief to suspect collusion to subvert the terms and conditions of the Promotion,
and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of the Promotion, and
only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the
Promotion and/or these terms and conditions, at any stage, but will always endeavor to minimize the effect
to Participants and/or Winners (or Reserve Winners if applicable) in order to avoid undue disappointment.
35. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries including but not limited to asking for address and
identity details (which must be provided within 3 days of request) and to refuse to award a Prize or
withdraw Prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the Promotion and disqualify the
Participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and
conditions or any instructions forming part of this Promotion’s entry requirements or otherwise where a
Participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the Promotion or won using fraudulent means.
36. Insofar as permitted by law, the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for
any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or
damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection
with the Promotion or accepting or using the Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law
(including personal injury or death caused by its negligence and fraud). Your statutory rights are not
affected.
37. If any of the clauses in these terms and conditions should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise
unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining
clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
38. English law will settle any dispute concerning the interpretation and application of these terms and
conditions and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
39. The Promoter’s decisions regarding all matters in relation and/or connected to the Promotion shall be final
and no other correspondence will be entered in to.
40. These terms and conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other
communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry and claim instructions are deemed to
form part of the terms and conditions and by participating in the Promotion, all entrants will be deemed to
have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions. Please retain a copy for your information. Any

41. Promoter will collect and process a Participant’s personal data as necessary to administer the Promotion.
The Promoter will process the Participant’s personal data in accordance with Promoter’s Privacy Policy,
available at www.stanleyblackanddecker.com/privacy-policy. Participant’s can request access to their
personal data, have any inaccuracies rectified or request deletion of personal data by sending a request via

42. The Promoter intends to publish or make available the surname and county of the Winners (and a Reserve
Winner if applicable). Participants will be asked if they wish their surname and county to be published or
made available in a list of Winners, in the event they are a Winner. Participants may choose whether or not
their details are published or made available. In any event, the Promoter must still provide the information
and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
43. Third Parties: Promoter may use third parties operating under Promoter’s instructions to administer this
Promotion. Such parties may have access to Participant’s personal data to perform certain functions such as
verifying entries and Winners, notifying Winners and delivering Prizes.
